The Pirate Queen of Omega

Notes: I made a few touch ups to this photo where the flash didn't play nice with the pax paint and also where the paint had rubbed off my lips. Hey, it was DCon, I had to stay hydrated....with...gin and things.

Construction Notes: Costume made and worn by me. The headpiece was made by ~Terra-fen and painted by me. Overall I am very pleased with how this costume turned out. I absolutely loved painting the headpiece. I think it was my favorite part. OMG sewing 4 way stretch vinyl was a horrible bitch at first but that was only because my walking foot was a total pile of shit. Apparently they do not make a good walking foot for my machine and had I known that when I went to buy it, I would have spent another hundred bucks and gotten the other machine I was looking at. I digress. The undersuit was made of a nice heavy supplex in black, the chaps and bodice were 4 way stretch vinyl in matte black and the jacket was white 4 way stretch vinyl with a red metallic spandex lining. I should have more full body pictures coming soon so you can see the boot covers (which I loooove--it was my first time making boot covers).
